The original adventures of Brian and Gina

Full of loads of cinematic references (Pulp Fiction, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Close Encounters among others) the first Runaway game is by far one of the best adventure games ever made. With puzzles, comic characters and speech, and an excellent visual style inspired by cell shaded comics, it's one adventure that you'll want to come back to again and again.

The game starts pretty well but lacks the ability to really suck you in. The characters you meet are shallow except one or two and the game suffers from constant backtracking that forces you to check things over and over again and obtain new items every time you do, and some unusual ways to solve problems really affects the game in a negative way. The last chapter is where the game shines (a very dim light though) and the story is all revealed to you.
