If you like the CSI games like Hard Evidence and CSI Miami, then I wouldn't recommend this. It's a long winded attempt with little depth and annoying gameplay. I found myself almost wanting to scream at the characters when having to second guess in what manner to talk to them. As for gathering evidence well you spark up a hate-hate relationship with a PDA that gives you repeated messages.
