/5What Metaboli thinks
First of all lets start with a bit of history for you Metaboli style: you can download Hitman here, Hitman 2 here and Hitman Contracts here.
Now you should know a bit of the background of Agent 47, his time at the agency and how he starts to be tracked by the wheel-chair bound Alexander Cayne through Blood Money.
But we're not going to waste the great plot for you, or how it all intertwines from seemingly separate mission to seemingly separate mission.
In the missions themselves you'll be going through hits in a Vegas casino, a Mississippi river boat, an opera house and the great New Orleans Mardi Gras. And Blood Money includes an introductory tutorial mission so new-comers to the Hitman series shouldn't be afraid.
For each hit you have the choice of going for an all out blood bath or taking your time for an organised "accident". The less you're noticed, be it on camera or in person, the more you'll be paid. So plan your actions and get the right disguises.
And disguises are the thing, 47 can steal the clothes of any (male) character in the game from the normal body-guard suit to a clown or a Father Christmas suit (ho ho, ow!). Obviously you're free in the style of your hit, whether it's with the sniper rifle from afar, tossing someone off a cliff, a bomb in a briefcase or poisoning a wedding cake (yes, a wedding cake), the method of blood letting is entirely up to you. And thinking up an ingenious hit is half the fun.
Your results for each mission will be measured by notoriety or how much of an impact you've made, how many bodies you've left lying around, so for the true Silent Assassin rating you'll have to make every death look like an accident. You'll see this in how much blood money you get at the end of each mission and in an article in the local paper describing the deaths, the bullets used etc or if you've been noticed every step of the way; a nice computer mock-up of your face. The newspaper an ingenious addition and really pulls you into the game.
On the technical side Blood Money looks great and well worth a mention is the amazing crowd feature which you'll see for the first time in the Mardi Gras mission. For the first time in a game a crowd is actually a crowd of hundreds of people, not just ten sheepish looking characters. It's amazing to look at and a pleasure to play.
Easily the best in the series so far, Blood Money is great for those of you on your first hit and for the Hitman veteran.
May the blood money flow...
