The main stay of Champ Manager 2008 hasn't changed much compared to its predecessors, it's all the little additions that make it better year on year. First on the list of improvements is the interface overhaul and more refined graphics making the game even more streamlined and giving you the information where you need it and when you need it. As usual, you'll start by creating your character and deciding which club you want to lead, as well as the national team you want to run. The database was updated with the August 2007 fixtures and with more players and staff then ever before, including 27 available championships (including the brand new Australian League).
All the improvements from the previous games are present and are perfectly integrated as always: player training, recruiting and transfers, sponsorship and contracts all head up the business side of things so you get the best chances come match day. And when match day happens there are all the countless strategies that you can make within the match, even the "TeamTalk" function letting you give little tips in-game to individual players - it's like shouting at the TV screen, but with a mouse, and the players actually listen to you. And once the match is over it's time for analysis with the excellent "proZone" tool - the same that's used by the clubs themselves.
As well as all the improvements making this the closest thing to actually managing a football club to date, you've got Multiplayer this time, where you can get up to four managers all around the same PC, meaning that you can really see who is the best. Hugely deep, with infinite potential, Championship Manger 2008 keeps its promises and brings you the most complete football management experience yet.
